A Gratitude Tool for You

We are grateful for your support and trust in our coach training program. Your dedication to personal and professional growth has been inspiring, and we are honored to have played a part in your development as coaches who help to make the world a better place.

To express our appreciation and provide value, we'd like to share a powerful gratitude exercise based on the work of Professor Emirates and College of Executive Coaching Faculty Member Robert Emmons, Ph.D., a leading expert in the science of gratitude.

This exercise can be beneficial for both you and your clients.

The Three Good Things Exercise

  1. Each night before bed, write down three things that went well during the day.
  2. Next to each positive event, answer the question: "Why did this good thing happen?"
  3. Reflect on the role you played in bringing about this positive experience.

Dr. Emmons' research shows that practicing gratitude in this way can lead to increased happiness, reduced depression, and improved sleep quality. By focusing on the good in our lives and acknowledging our role in creating positive experiences, we cultivate a mindset of appreciation and resilience.

We hope this exercise and other efforts you make as the new year arrives add value to your well-being and enhance your work with clients. Thank you for being an integral part of our community.

We look forward to continuing our growth together.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Jeff, Katie, Christine, Kiana, Micah, and our Faculty Team
